Step Into Milo Duke's Surreal World At Umpqua Bank
Umpqua Bank has partnered with the 54th St Atelier, a group of artists, artist-instructors and students to curate monthly shows in the Ballard branch from March through September. Group shows will be hung in the bank lobby for one night only, on the 2nd Saturday of the month. There will also be a solo show hung in the gallery for the entire month.

Permanent Exhibit of Spiritual Paintings At Interfaith Community Sanctuary
Interfaith Sacred Community Art is an exhibit in permanent residence at Interfaith Community Sanctuary. The 8 large-scale spiritual paintings were designed and led by Linda Stern at spiritual retreats held every year. Each of the paintings, call to diverse spiritual and faith traditions with symbols and meanings that are interwoven throughout.

Linda Stern, who leads the creative and sacred experience, has been an producing artist for over 50 years and some of her creations will also be in the exhibit. Whenever she creates she enters a state of prayer and meditation to infuse the art with the Light and Love of the Divine. Her paintings are largely esoteric and spiritual in nature with a strong influence of Divine Feminine aspects.
Linda will be at the Sanctuary to discuss Spirituality, Creativity and Art from 6-9 on the Art Walk evenings.

BallardWorks Presents The Venus Show for March Artwalk
The Venus Show presents Venus and Adonis paintings by By "JAGOP" (Just a Group of Painters), eleven Gage artists who are also students of Gage teaching artist Barbara Fugate. There will be other works showing alongside these reconsidered images of the Venus de Milo and Adonis.
The building contains three floors of art studios and exhibition spaces open every Artwalk from 6:00-9:00 pm.

Escape to Sunny California Via Annie's Art and Frame During Saturday's March Artwalk
Lisa Snow Lady’s paintings reflect her love of Southern California, and recent travels to Palm Springs and Catalina Island off the coast of Long Beach. She is inspired by turquoise swimming pools, the shape of the palms, and red-tiled roofs against a backdrop of cerulean blue seas.
Whether she is painting recollections of her travels, neighborhood scenes of her native Seattle, interior spaces, or garden paths, it is her balanced design, simple shapes and limited color palette that define her paintings.
Lisa has a BA in Art History and Fine Art and a BFA in Painting from the University of Washington and has continued her education with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Edmonds Community College along with various art classes through Pratt Fine Arts Canter and Gage Academy. She has maintained a studio at BallardWorks in Ballard for over 10 years where she participates in the monthly ArtWalk.

The BalMar Features Photographs by Paul Knutzen for March Artwalk
Paul Knutzen is a local artist who currently lives in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of South Seattle. Paul’s attributes his interest in art to his father, a painter himself, who exposed Paul to a wide range of art as a child. He graduated from Seattle Central Community College with a degree in graphic art and soon found a home in the video game industry, where he spent over a decade creating 3D environments.
Much of Paul’s artwork reflects his strong affection for architecture and the organic elements found in man-made structures. He enjoys experimenting with different mediums and surfaces in order to create subtle and unpredictable textures in his artwork. When he is not working in his garage studio, Paul can often be found wandering the city streets with a camera looking for inspiration in unusual buildings, trains, colorful signage, or local street art.
