Blowing Sands Presents the Vivid Acrylics of Tony Scauzillo-Golden
Tony
Scauzillo-Golden is a painter of vivid acrylics. His bold colors,
visionary skyscapes, and thought provoking portraits of our mind’s
selves are intense and alive. “He has traveled all
over North America and Europe seeking artistic experiences and
adventure. International travel, art, music, filming, photography,
architecture and visual designs are his passions. Called a visionary
artist by friends and family, his art works have been exhibited numerous
times around Seattle since 1996."
"Tony attended the University of Washington from 1996 to 2001 earning an honors level B.A. majoring in art history and architecture. From 2003-2005 TSG worked in recruitment support at Cornish College of the Arts and audited design courses in web design, design for fabrication, and 3D Maya animation.
In 2010-2011, Tony returned to the UW and completed a graduate level professional certificate in User Centered Design (UCD) in the Human Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) department. While researching UCD, Tony presented his original Spective Ideation concept at the 2011 HCDE Open House along with his Spective Colour UI/UX design. In the Spring of 2011, Tony lead a group of human-computer interaction (HCI) seniors on an independent UCD project taking his Spective Colour UI/UX and getting user feedback on current industry standard color systems.
On the creative side, TSG stays active in visual arts, multi-media, indie film, poetry, writing, public improv art and progressive politics. On the more adventurous side, TSG is an avid mountain bike enthusiast and outdoorsmen. Tony grew up in Colorado and learned to love Nature playing in the sublime backyard that is the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.
TSG has hiked backcountry in Canyonlands and other national parks across the United States and lived off the Colorado River in 2005 while traveling for his American West Identity Quest (AWIQ). With survival training from his dad (graduate of USAFA & retired Air Force Officer), Tony is comfortable in any environment whether it be on a rustic dirt trail, on the backside
of a mountain, deep in the wilderness, in the desert, staying in improv shelters and tents,
or sleeping under the stars, T can handle any situation.”
